How can you explore the materiality of a book to create meaning?
The analogue book, deconstructed.
This project explores how the structure of a book can be understood by literally cutting into the surface of the leaf. The architecture of the book is revealed as the reader navigates through an ever-decreasing narrative. Paragraphs are reduced to sentences, sentences to words and finally words into individual characters. The disruption of the surface and structure aims to shift the perception of what a book can be in the mind of the reader.
